Most of our spices are procured mainly from the growers, association of growers or co-operative society from different locations in India depending on spice produce and also directly from the spices board. We are engaged in growing, procuring, processing, packing, supplying, exporting Indian dry spices and also reaching local and international market under the brand name Zykaa or Zykaa Spices that includes hygienically cultivated seeds, oil seeds and grains as rice and wheat.
Zykaa spices are packed using an indigenous processing method hence retaining the taste, aroma, colour and texture of freshly grounded spices and are packed using appropriate materials and stored in an excellent condition which retains the quality, colour, texture, taste and aroma for a longer period. Special care is taken while packaging our spices to ensure that it is done in a hygienic manner and retains the taste and quality of the spices. India, known as the home of spices, boast a long history of trading with the ancient civilisations of Rome and China. Today, Indian spices are the most sought-after globally, given their exquisite aroma, texture, taste and medicinal value. India has the largest domestic market for spices in the world. Traditionally, spices in India have been grown in small land holdings, with organic farming gaining prominence in recent times. India is the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of spices; the country produces about 75 of the 109 varieties listed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and accounts for half of the global trading in spices.
In FY20, the total spices exports from India was worth US$ 3.62 billion. Top importers of Indian spices in FY21 were US, UAE, UK, Hong Kong, Australia, and Canada. The total spices export during April 2020 to March 2021 was US$ 4.00 billion and for the month of March 2021 it was US$ 448.77 million. In April 2021, export of spices stood at US$ 398.50 million. During FY19, India’s chilli export stood at 468,500 tonnes, cumin export at 180,300 tonnes, turmeric export at 133,600 tonnes and cardamom large export at 860 tonnes. In FY20 (till December 2019), ginger export showed the highest growth of 47% with 19,410 tonnes, followed by cardamom with 31% at 1,060 tonnes and cumin with 14% at 7,350 tonnes.

It has the largest domestic market for spices with 109 varieties listed by ISO (International Organisation for Standardization) in the world. India exports around 75 varieties of spices and it primarily exports cumin, red chilli, pepper, turmeric, green cardamom, fennel, black pepper, coriander, ginger etc. The spices come under HS code 09. Spices in India have been grown in small land holdings with organic farming gaining importance in modern times. These are most sought after globally specified their quality, taste and medicinal values.
